Services

  • Therapeutic Massage

This is my regular session for new and existing clients. I offer slow myofascial massage in a quiet chit-chat-free setting to help you get settled and get into your body. Enough time for a full-body massage or focused treatment. Learn more.

  • Therapeutic Massage with Full Chest

This therapeutic massage therapy session includes treatment to the front of the torso below the armpit line. This is offered as a separate treatment option because your written consent to uncover the chest and/or work with or close to breast tissue is required. Learn more.

Areas of interest

Persistent pain

Massage when something hurts all the time. I believe that pain management for persistent pain conditions is a process, and many of my clients benefit from regular massage therapy sessions in which they direct me to what they think will help on that day. If you value a gentle, kind, meet-you-where-you’re-at-approach, you might enjoy working with me.

Integration of full chest

Full chest means the soft tissue overlaying the entire front side of the ribcage. The full span of the pectoralis major muscle as well as deeper muscles of breathing can only be addressed in sessions that include full chest massage. Consider receiving work on your full chest if you’re looking for opening across the chest and ease with breathing.

Anxiety and stress

Massage therapy is a grounding practice for many people experiencing anxiety and stress. I help my clients get back into their bodies with gradual contact, long holds and slow movement. I attune to the rhythm of your breathing so my contact feels light when you inhale and heavy when you exhale, which helps you regulate your nervous system.

Hypermobility

Joint hypermobility, whether acquired or congenital, greatly affects soft-tissue structures. While massage therapy alone will not address the underlaying issues, it can reduce pain and improve body awareness in ways that will ultimately improve quality of life. Your session will exclude any techniques that will negatively impact your hypermobile joints.

Cancer care

Therapeutic massage is recommended during all stages of cancer treatment and recovery. I offer gentle sessions that focus on comfort and rest, that alleviate the symptoms related to cancer treatment, that treat soft-tissue complications following surgery and radiation, and that help you re-integrate your changed body into your sense of self.

Curiosity and exploration

Some of my favorite sessions are those where my client is using their session time to explore the sensations in their body, much like you would in a yoga asana class. These sessions are varied, I never know what to expect, and often feel collaborative and playful. If you’re interested in this type of work I hope you reach out, I would love to hear what you have in mind.
